TOAQ v2 ecosystem launched

Over the past few months, the TOAQ team has decided to review the entire internal ecosystem, taking advantage of this update to revamp the company's entire website. Our promise is to maintain a comfortable user experience for you, the team, and businesses.

Ecosystem structure

When we launched the TOAQ website (version 1), we used subdomains to separate the main themes of the website. We decided to group the subdomains within www.toaq.fr, taking care to highlight the distinctions with visual elements.

Subdomain continuity

For one year, the production team is committed to ensuring automatic redirection of subdomains to the dedicated pages in the www.toaq.fr domain. After this period, the listed deleted subdomains will lead you to a 404 error.

Visuals

While using the v1 ecosystem, we noticed that there was not enough text and visuals to explain complex and non-intuitive ideas. So we made it a priority to develop an engine that would allow our teams to offer you graphics and other elements to help you better understand our work. For example, in v1, our research highlighted the summary of the document, and if you wanted to know more, you had to read the entire document. Now, thanks to the work we have done, you no longer have just a summary from the document, but a real explanation with visual elements (which may be interactive) of what the document presents to you.

Audio (Beta)

Our update is significant not only on the website but also within the company's internal ecosystem. We no longer want to just produce long, technical research documents; we want to make them accessible so that anyone can understand them. After much thought, we were recently able to announce that Léon is producing podcasts based on the documents. This process was based on a simple observation: we cannot rely on an LLM to generate complete scripts (which can be long) and, above all, without any hallucinations. So, to do this, we have defined a safeguard that only accepts a script if its score exceeds 9/10. Once this score is achieved, the podcast is available on Spotify, Audible, and Apple Podcasts in French and English.

In addition, we want to provide audio not only for research documents but also for any articles that exceed a minimum content threshold defined by our teams. The idea is to make the content accessible internationally so that it can be understood by everyone!

Internationalization

The previous ecosystem was designed to be available exclusively in English, as this was considered sufficient. We have decided to create a real internationalization module for the site and our tools.

With this in mind, we have designed an architecture that allows new languages to be added using well-known tools such as i18n. However, we have also developed a tool that allows all content written by the team (in their native language) to be translated in advance and made available in any desired language. We have taken translation a step further by translating interactive elements, which is still in beta to allow us to ensure reliable results and reduce processing time.

Possible translation error in legal documents

It is important to note that we wanted to translate legal and security-related documents, but only the English version is authoritative. Our teams are committed to checking the translations and ensuring that they convey the meaning intended by the author. New publication format

TOAQ has so far only posted research documents explaining the thinking behind a subject from start to finish. For example, the latest research document explains a new way of creating an emotional model using exclusively bio-inspired mathematics. Whenever possible, we would like to publish a technical document explaining the results, procedure, and constraints. The idea is no longer to publish the theory and explanation of a subject, but also to provide evidence through experimentation.
